Zund UK partners with Garden House Hospice Care to support local need
Zund UK is proud to announce its partnership with Garden House Hospice Care, a charity that provides specialist palliative care to patients, families, and carers in North Hertfordshire, Stevenage, and surrounding areas in Central Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. This collaboration aims to support the vital work of the hospice in offering physical, emotional and spiritual care to those facing life-limiting illnesses.
As part of the partnership, Zund UK has opted for a corporate sponsorship package with Garden House Hospice Care. This contribution directly supports the charity’s ability to deliver its critical services, ensuring patients and their families receive the compassionate care they need.
Garden House Hospice Care plays a crucial role in the community, supporting hundreds of individuals every year with services such as:
- In-Patient Care: Offering symptom control, psychological support, and end-of-life care with a high nurse-to-patient ratio for personalized attention.
- Frailty Services: Helping individuals with complex health conditions manage symptoms, live well at home, and avoid unnecessary hospital visits, ultimately saving NHS resources.
- Rehabilitation and Wellbeing: Empowering individuals to maintain independence, confidence, and quality of life through symptom management, rehabilitation, and social engagement opportunities.
- Community Hubs: Providing weekly wellbeing hubs and Healthy Memory Cafés where people can find friendly support, advice, and companionship in a relaxed environment.
- Compassionate Neighbours: Connecting trained volunteers with community members experiencing loneliness, offering friendship, and helping them stay connected to loved ones and their communities.
Kuljit Kaur, Corporate Relationship Manager at Garden House Hospice Care said “The services provided by Garden House Hospice Care requires significant financial support. The hospice must raise £15,300 every day in charitable income to continue delivering its essential care to the community, as it costs us £7.7 million annually to fund their operations. While we receive some NHS funding, the majority comes from the generosity of the community and partnerships with businesses like Zund UK.”
