Sponsorship Bollington United

Bollington United Pythons are a junior football team made up of 19 under-12 team members. The team is from Bollington, Cheshire East, England, United Kingdom and play in the Stockport Metropolitan Junior Football League U12 Division 1.

The team recently had a change of manager and is currently been managed by Steve Rowbotham, Sales Account Manager at Zund UK during his spare time. Steve said “I took on the responsibility of this team because the manager was leaving, and the team would have been no more. This would have been a shame as the children in the team are all good school friends plus all the parents love going to watch the games on Sunday mornings with a cup of coffee. We have been lucky to have Steve Hodge, an ex professional and England player helping us with all our coaching every Thursdays, he is an FA and UEFA approved coach which is a great asset to us. Supporting these children is probably the most rewarding things I have done so far in my life. I am very grateful for Zund UK’s financial support to help us buy new shirts for the season. It’s always rewarding to have your employer recognise your efforts outside of work and support you”.

Nicki Kay, Managing Director at Zund UK said “We really take pride in supporting causes that are important to our colleagues. When we heard that Steve had agreed to take up the management of the Bollington United Pythons teams we wanted to make sure he knew we supported his efforts, so providing the kit is such a visible way of showing our support and giving something useful to the youngsters that train in the evenings and play at the weekends. We now support three youth teams and, in the future, if we can increase the number of teams in Zund kit, then we may even run a Zund tournament.
